Company Background
DR. P. LE FRAS NORTIER ROOIBOS MUSEUM SDN. BHD. The
first Dr. Nortier Company, Dr. P. Le Fras Nortier Rooibos Museum
Sdn. Bhd. was established in Malaysia in 1999. With the full support
from Rooibos Ltd., South Africa, it serves as a catalyst for further
growth and expansion of Rooibos Tea business throughout Asian region.
The Company has set up Dr. Nortier's Rooibos Museum,
the first "Rooibos Museum" and "South African Cultural Museum" and
it was being officiated by the South African High Commissioner to
Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines, H. E. Lindawe Mabuza on 6
June 2000.
On 6 June 2001, the newly set up "Cape Malay
Mini Museum" in side the Museum was being officiated by the
President of the Cape Malay Cultural Society, Mr. Mogamat Hassiem
Salie in conjunction with the Museum's First Anniversary. On the
same day, the MALAYSIAN BOOK OF RECORDS awarded Dr. Nortier's Rooibos
Museum as the First "South African Cultural Museum".
Dr. Nortier's Rooibos Museum has been recognized
as one of the tourism destination in Malaysia. It has been visited
by all walks of life including schools, government departments,
media, world-renowned nutritionist, Homes etc. Since its establishment,
the Museum has been working closely with the South African High
Commission to Malaysian, Brunei and the Philippines in promoting
South African culture, tourism and trade.

Dr. Nortier Foods (Beijing ) Co. Ltd. was incorporated
in year 2001 as the sole agent of Rooibos Tea in China. As a member
of South Africa-China Business Association (SACBA), it has built
up a close working & friendly relationship with the South African
Government Officials and also with the South African Embassy in
China in promoting South Africa.
It has a showroom in the South Africa Business Park
(SABP)-Beijing Representative Office, which showcases range of products
of Dr. Nortier's as well as various other international packaging
of Rooibos Tea.
Highlights of Year 2001
• The Press Conference of The World Students
Olympic Games (Universiade) was held at the Company's office and
attended by South African Sport Minister, Mr. Neconde Balfour.
• The Governor of Gauteng Province, Mr. Shilowa visited the
Company during his trip to Beijing.
Highlights of Year 2002
• Throughout the year, the Company was being
introduced to the guests of honor from South Africa; President Thabo
Mbeki, the Executive Mayor of Buffalo City Municipality,
Mr. Sindisile Maclean; the Speaker of Legislation of Gauteng, Mr.Firoz
Cachalia MPL; the Director-General of South African Department of
Tourism and Environmental Affairs, Mr. C. G. Olver; the DTI Director
of Asia, Mr. Iqbal Meer Sharma respectively during their visitation
to Beijing.
• The Company was the Event-Main Sponsor
for Jurassic Kingdom Dinosaur Exhibition at Beijing-road show whereby
Dr. Nortier's Rooibos Tea was being promoted intensively to the
Chinese. The South African Ambassador to China, H. E. TMN Kubheka
was one of the guests of honor for the Exhibition's official opening.
The Product- The Nectar of Nature
Rooibos is grown only in a small area on the West
Coast of the Southern tip of Africa. It is an extremely healthy
drink. A hot, soothing cup of Rooibos is completely pure and natural,
containing no additives, preservatives or colourants of any kind.
It is rich in SOD & antioxidants and contains no caffeine, which
can be harmful to the central nervous system, causing irritability,
high blood pressure and erratic sleep patterns. It is low in tannin,
a substance that adversely affects the bodies¡¯ metabolism by decreasing
the absorption of iron and protein. The clean, aromatic flavour
of Rooibos is suitable for any age and can safely be enjoyed in
unlimited quantities throughout the day, with no harmful side effects.
